Mindful Movement for Kids Series
Description: All ages are welcome – this class is targeted at 4-7 year olds, but younger and older can enjoy it too! We’ll learn and practice some fundamentals of yoga and meditation to sharpen focus, then play a variety of exercise games to develop your kid’s lifelong love for fitness! This class will be held outdoors, so please dress for weather and movement and bring a water bottle.
Cost: FREE! Contributions are optional to support my professional insurance and continuing education.

Inspiration
I’m honored to share healthy outlets with the smallest members of our community! Mindful Movement for Kids is a class I developed when I saw my five-year old mentally checking out from his online kindergarten class to get in the pose he created after his “most favorite sea creature, ever” the Anglerfish. After a frustrating day with spotty internet, lost school supplies, and overall zoom fatigue, he needed a moment to pause and connect.

He needs this. Your kids need this. As a fitness professional and a mother, I know that helping kids integrate how we they breathe with how they move, and listening to their bodies to discover what is needed in any given moment is essential. I want to help children discover new ways to breathe, connect, and really feel their bodies so they can intuitively know – and be empowered to – unplug when they need it most. Developing body awareness, concentration, and finding outlets to burn all that energy is a must for kids – now more than ever.
What to Expect
Early elementary children ages 4-7 are welcome to join this class!
